Updated - Appeal for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Bicester

At around 8.45pm on Saturday 25 September the victim, a 46-year-old man, was walking along Banbury Road when he was approached by a man who threatened him and demanded money.

*An altercation occurred and both the offender and victim fell to the floor. 

The victim sustain grazing to his hands and nose but did not require hospital treatment.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.

A 31-year-old man from Bicester was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery. He has since been released under investigation.
