Appeal for witnesses following distraction burglar

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a distraction burglary in Bracknell.

Some time between 3pm and 4pm on Monday (14/6), the victim, a man in his eighties, was at home in Lingwood when two men knocked at the door and told him there was a leak in the area and they had to check his taps in the garden.

Whilst the victim took one of the men into the garden to show him where the taps are, the other man went upstairs and searched the property.

A number of items of Jewellery were taken.

Both men were white and in their late twenties and early thirties. One was average build and was wearing a grey cap, blue pullover top and casual trousers. He was wearing a light grey tartan face mask. He spoke with an English accent and introduced himself as Peter. 

The other man had a slim build and was wearing a grey cap and grey clothing.
