New Area Representative for Bracknell Forest

Alert message sent 13/05/2021 15:42:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Dear Neighbourhood Watch member,

I have recently been appointed Area Representative (AR) for Bracknell Forest and would like to introduce myself and explain the purpose of my role.

My background is that I started a NHW scheme for my street in June last year after a child’s bicycle was stolen, and when the position of AR was advertised I decided that I would like to do more to help reduce crime in our area. I also do volunteer work with charities such as St John Ambulance, NHS Volunteer Responders, and dementia services at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The role of the Area Representative is to support the Scheme coordinators, deputies and members. This includes helping with local issues, forward information about new initiatives, online guides, training and scams.

Perhaps the most important thing is to listen to members and discuss ways in which we can make our neighbourhood’s safer. I look forward to working with you, and hopefully getting to know as many people as possible.

I have just completed my training, and look forward to discussing our next steps in the near future. For those who are interested there will be opportunities to volunteer to help with new initiatives and projects.

Thank you for being a part of Neighbourhood Watch. Like you I am a volunteer and whether you are also volunteering your time or are simply a member you are helping to keep our communities in Bracknell Forest safer from crime and the fear of crime.

Kind regards,

Paul Adkins
Area Representative: Bracknell Forest
