NW Stolen Credit and Debit Cards today

Alert message sent 01/08/2022 13:26:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

This is a message from Val McPherson Vice Chair of Princes Risborough & District NW Association and Area Co-ordinator for Longwick,Ilmer,Owlswick and Little Meadle NW.

Please be very carefully if visiting Tesco Stores in Princes Risborough as my husband had his wallet stolen this morning around 11.10 am  with his Credit and Debit Cards plus £50 cash. It happened after he had paid for the goods at the till. He was walking out of the entrance back towards  the car  when he found his wallet had been stolen.  He went back to the Reception Area where the Customer Services took all details and have CCTV footage of the incident of the suspect.

We have since contacted our bank to stop all cards. We were informed by our Bank that the thief had tried to use his Credit card  to purchase petrol from Shell Garage in Princes Risborough at 12.00 midday but the purchase did not go through.

We have also reported this online to the police.

Please be very carefully with handbags/ purses and wallets and where you place them before and after using.

I keep saying back pockets are not a safe place to put your wallets and please do not leave your wallets or purses in an open handbag as they can easily be stolen.

Take care everyone.
 Val
