Appeal for witnesses following robbery in Wantage

At around 11.30pm on Wednesday 7 July, the victim, a 16-year-old boy, was with a friend outside Sainsbury’s when he was chased by a group of masked men and separated from his friend. He ended up in Limborough Road where two men from the group have knocked him over and stolen personal possessions.

The victim’s coat and bag were stolen.

The two men were on bicycles, and wearing full-face coverings and dark clothing.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jamie Lawes, based at Abingdon police station said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who has any information, to please get in touch.
