Witness Appeal following Burglary in Rushleys Close Loughton

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Rushleys Close Loughton

On Wednesday 12th May at 12:55hrs the victim was asleep in bed. The suspect entered the address through the front door, and went up the upstairs, entered the bedroom. The victim than shouted at the male, who told her he was from the Police and had entered the wrong house, he turned and left. The offender on leaving removed from a table a small (hand sized) straw-coloured woven bag. This had handles at the top. It contained around 10 pairs of earrings.

The description of the offender is a white male, aged 20-25years and 6ft tall. He was of large build, muscular but not fat. Mousey brown coloured hair, short at the back, and possibly had stubble.

He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black long sleeved fleece, which zipped up at the front and black cargo trousers with pockets on the side, and possibly black shoes.
When he left the property we do not know which way he went, or if he left on foot or a vehicle.

We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in Rushleys Close Loughton or who may have information to call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference 43210203787
