On 16 September 2026, officers from the Thatcham Neighbourhood Team, Berkshire West Disruption Team, and the Harm Reduction Unit carried out a joint operation in response to community concerns surrounding the illegal use of e-bikes, as well as suspected drug dealing and drug use in the area.

The operation focused on locations where concerns had been raised by residents and involved proactive patrols, engagement with the public, and targeted enforcement activity.
