ASB offender convicted and issued Criminal Behaviour Order |
A prolific shoplifter and persistent anti-social offender has been sentenced and made subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order following concerns raised by local businesses and the community in Oxford. Antonio Jones, pictured, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where he pleaded guilty to eight breaches of a Community Protection Notice and six shoplifting offences committed in Headington and Oxford city centre between February and April this year. Jones has been made subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order which prohibits him from begging for money, goods or services anywhere in Oxford, sitting, loitering or remaining within five metres of a cash machine, and entering stores from which he has previously stolen. This order is a significant escalation from previous measures taken to address his behaviour and reflects our continued commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour and supporting those affected by it.
If you witness Jones breaching the conditions of the order, including begging for money or goods in Oxford, please report it via our website or by calling 101. Always call 999 if a crime is in progress.
