Appeal for witnesses following knifepoint robberies – Aylesbury |
||
|
We are appealing for witnesses following two knifepoint robberies in Aylesbury. The first incident took place at around 10pm last Monday, where four teenage boys approached the victims, two men aged in their late teens, and robbed them at knifepoint at Vale Park. The same victims were then later assaulted by the same group of males outside Rocco Lounge. The second incident took place at around the same time, where the victim, a man in his twenties, was robbed at knifepoint at the Aylesbury Bus Station, Great Western Street. A number of items were stolen including their mobile phones, watches, power banks and cash. The victims at Vale Park did not sustain any injuries. The victim at the Aylesbury Bus Station, the man in his twenties, sustained minor injuries and required hospital treatment but has since been discharged. We understand these incidents such as these will be distressing for local residents, but these are being treated as separate incidents, and we are conducting enquiries in the area and investigating this as a top priority. As such, there will be an increased presence of police officers in the area conducting extra patrols, and so if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to one of them. Anyone with information is urged to contact Thames Valley Police, either by making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43260287234. Alternatively provide information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.
