Theft From Cars in Beauty Spots

Thames Valley Police have had numerous reports of vehicles being broken into whilst parked in ‘beauty spots’ across the Oxfordshire area. 

Car windows are being smashed, with valuables being taken from the car. 

Please ensure if you are leaving your vehicle unattended that you remove ALL valuables to reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of theft. This applies to even leaving your vehicle parked outside of your house or in otherwise ‘safe’ locations. 

Further advice is to leave your cars parked in populated areas, under streetlights if at night and ensure car alarms are working correctly.
