Spring into action - secure your home |
||
|
As the clocks go forward and you’re able to enjoy lengthening days it is important that you remain mindful of your home security. With the weather improving, more people leave windows open and doors unlocked whilst they are out in their gardens, putting them at a higher risk of being burgled. Although tempting to have windows open on warmer days, please make sure your home is securely locked before leaving it. Expensive garden equipment should always be locked away in a safe and secure location when not in use, the same goes for bikes which prove to be a tempting target f left unattended and unsecured. There are a number of simple steps that cost nothing you can take to minimise the risk to your home: For more information on how to keep your property safe please visit the Thames Valley Police website Home Security Guide | Thames Valley Police Residents watching out for and helping their neighbours is a good way of reducing the risk of crime, if you are interested in joining or forming a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme check out www.ourwatch.org.uk Please feel free to share this message and information with family, friends and neighbours.
