Good Morning Resident,
Firstly, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year!
Looking ahead to 2026, I plan to use this Thames Valley Alerts system more frequently to keep residents updated. I also welcome your feedback on the types of information or messages you would find most helpful. Please feel free to share this alert with neighbours and friends living in Bracknell, especially those in Jennett’s Park, so they can stay informed too.
We never send spam, and you have full control over the types of updates you receive (such as crime prevention advice, community safety messages, and more). I would be grateful if someone can share the sign up link on the Jennett's Park Facebook Page: https://www.thamesvalleyalert.co.uk/
Guillemot Street: I am writing to update you on the ongoing Full Closure Order relating to a property on Guillemot Street.
As many of you will be aware, this address has previously been linked to significant disorder, drug dealing, and accommodating the offender responsible for the series of thefts from motor vehicles that occurred in January 2025 and again in September 2025 across the whole estate. The male was arrested, charged, remanded by the Neighbourhood team and sentenced to prison at Court. Unfortunately, the time served is something out of police control.
Due to the seriousness of this activity, I applied for a Full Closure Order on the property, which was granted on 9 October 2025 for the maximum initial period of three months, which was due to expire on 9th January 2026.
Since then, Abri Housing, who manage the property, have been working diligently to pursue legal action to repossess the address. As with all legal processes, there are strict requirements and procedures that must be followed to ensure fairness and due process.
Given the timescales involved, I returned to court on 6 January 2026 to request an extension of the Closure Order for a further three months—the maximum extension permitted by law. I am pleased to confirm that the court accepted the evidence presented, and the order has now been extended until 6 April 2026.
I am confident that Abri will continue progressing the repossession process, which will ultimately help restore peace and quality of life for local residents.
Jennett’s Park is a fantastic place to live, and the strong community spirit here is clear to see. My priority, as your dedicated officer, is to ensure that it remains a safe environment for everyone.
Please continue to share any information that may help us maintain the safety and wellbeing of the community.
