Re-Introducing Your Bicester Neighbourhood Policing Team Over the past year, the Bicester Neighbourhood Team has undergone significant changes, and we felt it was time to reintroduce ourselves to the community. Not everyone visits the Thames Valley Police website, so here’s a quick overview of who we are and what we do. Meet the Team: Police Constables: James brings experience from Response teams and the former Neighbourhood Problem-Solving Team. He drives our activity in bringing prolific Retail crime offenders to justice as well as leaning on his extensive local knowledge to target Drug offending.
Freya joined us on secondment in April last year from Incident & Crime Response Team 1 and has been an integral part of the team already having planned and led on Drug Warrants and E-Scooter days of action.
Jack will join us at the end of February from Incident & Crime Response Team 4. Having started his career in Bicester, Jack knows the area well and will supervise and support our PCSOs.
Police Community Support Officers: Our longest-serving PCSO and a familiar face in Bicester and a pillar in the team, Alison has a wealth of knowledge and experience serving the community. Alison drives our Monthly Have Your Say road show around Bicester as well as our Primary school engagements.
Chelsea is a keen driven proactive officer regularly seen on foot patrol in the town centre, she is committed to engaging with local businesses and the Cherwell Crime Partnership and has been a cornerstone to our success in gaining numerous convictions against prolific retail crime offenders.
Joined in April 2025 with a strong commitment to community engagement. Jules is already building lasting ties and has taken on leading our Mini Police initiative in Bicester
Joined in June and has proven to be a very proactive officer in addressing community concerns, particularly around E-scooter activity and has thoroughly enjoyed all the Teams Community Engagement events over the Summer where we bring along our Fun and interactive kit for the community to see.
While we work closely with Incident & Crime Response teams, our team focuses on community priorities set by you every three months whilst also investigating neighbourhood crimes including but not limited to Anti-social Behaviour and Retail Crime. We aim to build strong relationships, tackle local issues, and keep Bicester safe. How You Can Help: Your feedback shapes our priorities. Please engage with us at local meetings which are advertised on the Thames Valley Police website 3 months in advance Link Our current Community Priorities Online Survey Link Or feel free to stop and chat with us when you see us out on patrol.
