News Update from PCSO Jason Miller |

Resident Update from PCSO Jason Miller from Maidenhead Central Team about what we have been up to recently. Whilst on patrols on Monday afternoon I saw a man who was wanted by Police for breaching his Criminal Behaviour Order on 2 occasions & on suspicion of shoplifting from the High Street. He made off but was quickly found & arrested in Courtlands trying to hide in a garage block. The 30 year old man from Maidenhead has been charged and remanded to prison earlier today to appear in court date in January.
A 56 year old woman we caught shoplifting in M&S just before Christmas has been sentenced to 4 weeks in prison, plus a fine of almost £500 including costs + an 8 week prison sentence (suspected for 12 months), this follows an investigation by officers for 2 shop thefts from the same store.
The Windsor and Maidenhead team, supported by colleagues from across the area + armed officers have supported the Jewish community through the Jewish festival of Hanukkah recently with lots of patrols taking place, there were no issues to report.
The Maidenhead Neighbourhood Team have been carrying out a lot of patrols & engagement in the town centre & surrounding areas to deter shops thefts & anti social behaviour as part of Thames Valley Police Safer Streets campaign.
Lastly, on Monday we were honoured to join the funeral cortege for 11 year old Reuben's final journey until it crossed over into Bucks area. It was amazing to see hundreds of locals lining the route with red balloons, scarfs, flags, shirts etc. mostly bearing Liverpool FC, he was a massive fan of the club. All available police officers and staff, including senior ranking officers stepped out of the station to pay their respects by lining up outside as the cortege went past, the sad passing of Reuben at such a young age has affected so many people including myself and colleagues. A police van was draped in red ribbons and balloons by some of our detective colleagues, so we could join everyone who came out to pay their respects. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Reuben's family and friends at this difficult time - RIP young man
Stay safe all
