Good Afternoon. I hope this finds you well. I am one of the Police Neighbourhood Officers for Windsor town centre, Eton and Eton Wick. Moving forward I would like to try and keep all our residents up to date with what we are doing as a team and intend to continue this as we move into 2026. There is a lot we do within a working set but I have tried to list the main points. Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st, we have conducted High visibility patrols around Windsor town centre, as we are aware that anti-social behaviour does increase the closer we get to Christmas. On Sunday the 21st, we applied for a Dispersal Order in the town Centre so that any Anti-social behaviour could be dealt with swiftly and issues could be removed from the town centre. Over the weekend, we have stopped and searched persons believed to be shoplifting resulting in community resolutions and the returning of items to the stores. On Monday the 22nd, we have patrolled both Eton and Eton Wick whilst also responding to reports of shoplifting in Windsor town centre. Your local PCSO’s have put up signage and warnings in the South Meadow and Meadow Lane areas of Eton due to a rise in thefts from motor vehicles. We have been working closely with the Windsor Homeless Project in order to both safeguard the vulnerable people that sleep in the cold this Christmas and are working together to make a difference in many of their lives.Today (Tuesday) we will been patrolling Eton High Street in order to both deter and seize illegal e-scooters and e-bikes as well as fines for bicycles riding the wrong way on the one-way system as well as patrols of the South Meadow and Meadow Lane due to the previously mentioned issues. Please be aware of the South Meadow and Meadow Lane areas. As mentioned, there has been a rise in thefts from cars parked down the country roads, especially overnight. Please also inform us of any Anti-social behaviour in your area as well as anything suspicious you would like us to look into. This can be through 101 or 999 in an emergency. We also have a newer way to contact us and we will respond within 72 hours. Windsor Central | Your area | Thames Valley Police | Thames Valley Police As your Neighbourhood Team we are guided by you. If there are issues in your village, town, Street or around your home, please let us know. Be safe out there and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Windsor Central Neighbourhood Team. |
