|
Hello Resident, From today (1/12) until 31 January, we will be increasing police visibility and working closely with partners to tackle crime and ensure people feel safe as part of the national Safer Streets Winter of Action campaign. Assistant Chief Constable Christian Bunt said: “This winter, we will continue our momentum following the Safer Streets Summer campaign. We will continue to focus on effective local policing - building trust, understanding local concerns, and being where our communities need us most “While crime trends differ by season, issues such as antisocial behaviour and retail crime remain. Working with partners and communities, we’ll implement preventative measures and take action against offenders to reduce crime in Thames Valley.” If you are living in or visiting a town and city centres this winter, feel free to speak to your neighbourhood officers whilst they are on patrol and share any of your concerns. Matthew Barber, Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, said: “I am pleased that the Force will continue to deliver strong neighbourhood policing this winter through increased visibility in our towns and cities. “By increasing patrols and working closely with partners, Thames Valley Police continues to send a clear message that it is here to protect communities, tackle crime, and ensure that residents feel safe this winter.”
