Keeping Safe This Halloween & Fireworks Night 🎃🎆

Dear Residents,

As Halloween and Bonfire Night approach, we’d like to share some important safety tips to help everyone enjoy the festivities safely and respectfully.

🎃 Halloween Safety Tips:

Please accompany young children while trick-or-treating and stick to well-lit areas.

Respect homes that are not decorated — they may not wish to participate.

Avoid knocking late in the evening and be mindful of elderly or vulnerable neighbours.

Costumes should be visible in the dark — consider reflective tape or glow sticks.

🎆 Fireworks & Bonfire Night:

Only attend organised displays where possible — they’re safer and more enjoyable.

If using fireworks at home, follow the Firework Code and keep pets indoors.

Be considerate of neighbours, especially those with young children or animals.

Avoid lighting bonfires near trees, fences, or buildings.

👮‍♀️ Anti-Social Behaviour: We’ll be patrolling the area during this period to ensure everyone can celebrate safely. If you witness any anti-social behaviour or have concerns, please report it via 101 or online at Thames Valley Police website.
