Man charged in connection with serious assault – Oxford

Hello resident, 

Following a thorough investigation, a man has been charged in connection with the serious assault of a man in Oxford.

Thomas Mesai, aged 24, of Heath Crescent, Coventry, has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. 

The charges relate to an incident in James Wolfe Road on Sunday 20 July.

Mesai appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (13/9), where he was remanded into custody. He will next appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday 10 October.
