Arrest in connection with assault – Oxford

We have made an arrest in connection with an assault in Oxford.

A 30-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody.

This relates to an assault in St Clement’s Street at around 10.30pm on Saturday. One of the victims suffered potentially life-changing injuries; he remains in hospital. 

We still believe it was a targeted attack with no threat to the wider public.
