Theft from Motor Vehicles (TFMV) |
||
Hi Resident,
Neighbourhood Policing Update – Jennett’s Park & Great Hollands
As your local Neighbourhood Officer for Jennett’s Park, I am aware of a recent increase in thefts from motor vehicles affecting both Jennett’s Park and Great Hollands.
While several posts have appeared on local Facebook groups regarding these incidents, many do not appear to have been formally reported to Thames Valley Police. I would like to take this opportunity to remind residents of the following:
Please report any suspicious activity to Thames Valley Police by calling 101 or submitting a report via the TVP website. If you witness a crime in progress, dial 999 immediately.
This includes incidents where vehicles have been tampered with, even if nothing has been stolen. Such actions may constitute the offence of Vehicle Interference. It will also assist me in CCTV enquiries if I know where offenders have been.
I kindly ask residents to avoid speculation or sharing names and addresses of individuals online. Doing so may compromise ongoing investigations and hinder potential legal proceedings.
I will be leading the investigation, reviewing CCTV footage, gathering evidence, and taking appropriate action.
At this stage, I do not believe the offenders are using specialist equipment. They appear to be targeting insecure vehicles by trying door handles. It may sound like common sense advice….but please ensure your vehicle is locked and secured at all times.
CCTV: I am fully aware that Jennett's Park has a large proportion of houses with CCTV Doorbells and various other camera systems. If you have reviewed your footage and capture evidence, please contact me through our website with my shoulder number (P7551 Murphy).

Thank you for your continued vigilance and cooperation.
