🚓 Patrolling North East Oxford – Preventing Theft from Motor Vehicles 🚓

Today C9666 and C7476 will be out on patrol across car parks in the North East of Oxford, following concerns around theft from vehicles, particularly those using car parks.

Opportunistic thieves are known to target vehicles in these areas, often looking for items left on display or vehicles left unlocked.

🔐 Help us stop vehicle crime by following these simple tips:

✅ Always lock your car – even if you’re stepping away for just a minute

✅ Remove all valuables from sight – bags, wallets, phones, sat navs and tools are all targets

✅ Don’t leave coats or empty bags visible – thieves will still break in to check

✅ Park in well-lit and busy areas where possible

✅ Be alert and report any suspicious behaviour immediately to police

👀 It only takes seconds for a thief to break into a vehicle – don’t give them the opportunity.
