Garage burglary

Crime Alert – Garage Burglary 
Location: Sandford St Martin
Date of Incident: Early hours of 4th July

We want to alert residents to a garage burglary that occurred in the early hours of Thursday, 4th July. During the incident, a motorbike and a bicycle were stolen.

CCTV footage shows the suspects exiting Sandford St Martin, heading down Mill Lane towards Gagingwell. This may assist in tracking their movements.

This incident is part of a series of recent garage break-ins in the area, with bicycles, both pedal and electric as well as motorbikes being specifically targeted.

 

Help Protect Your Property:

To reduce the risk of theft, we strongly encourage residents to:

  • Padlock bikes together or anchor them to the floor using ground anchors or heavy-duty chains.
  • Install garage alarms and motion sensor lighting.
  • Use CCTV if possible, and ensure footage is being recorded and stored.
  • Keep garages locked at all times, and consider secondary locks or internal security doors.

    • If you have any information, no matter how small, that could assist in identifying the offenders or recovering the stolen items, please contact the police immediately by calling 101.
