Courier fraud on School Road Finstock |

We are appealing for information following an incident of courier fraud which occurred on School Road, Finstock at approximately 1:45pm on Tuesday, 1 July 2025. In this case, the victim was contacted by someone claiming to be from their bank. The caller convinced them that their bank account was compromised and instructed them to withdraw a significant amount of money, which would then be “collected” by a courier for safe keeping. Shortly after, a suspect arrived at the victim’s home and took the cash. The suspect then left the area walking down School Road in the direction of the train station. Courier fraud is a targeted scam often aimed at elderly or vulnerable individuals, using pressure tactics and impersonation to steal money. These scammers can be highly convincing, often claiming to be police officers, bank staff, or fraud investigators. We are urging anyone who may have seen a suspicious person or vehicle in the area of School Road between 1:30pm and 2:15pm on that day to come forward.
