We are appealing for witnesses to an assault in High Wycombe.

At around 9.20pm on Saturday, a brick is believed to have been thrown into a moving blue BMW through an open window in Walton Drive.

One of the occupants, a man in his late teens, suffered life-threatening facial and head injuries. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.

We understand this assault will be concerning but we believed it was a targeted attack with no threat to the wider public. We have been investigating it as a priority over the weekend and have increased patrols in the area. 

We have made an arrest but anyone with information or dashcam footage should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting 43250309256. We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw the movements of the blue BMW that was targeted on Saturday evening.
