Appeal for information after police officer seriously injured

Hello Resident,

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information into a suspected road traffic incident last night that has left a police officer with life-threatening injuries.

The police officer was injured after the incident on the B416 Bells Hill between Decies Way and Rogers Lane in Stoke Poges at 10.20pm.

A 38-year-old man from Slough is in custody on suspicion of attempted murder and causing serious injury by dangerous driving, though investigations are still ongoing.

Thames Valley Police Deputy Chief Constable Ben Snuggs said: “Anybody with any information about this incident should report it to the police immediately.

“Our thoughts are with the police officer, their loved ones and all of their colleagues at this difficult time.”

The road is closed in both directions between Decies Way and Rogers Lane. The closure directly affects the Banana Moon Day Nursery and this is no access to the nursery at present.

Anybody with any information that may assist us is urged to contact Thames Valley Police, either online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43250252869.

Kind regards,
