Yesterday (19/5) at 4.40pm, officers responded to reports of a collision on the A338 between Wantage and Grove, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a woman in her eighties, was walking her dog when she was involved in the collision.
She sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving hospital treatment. The dog was unharmed.
The vehicle was a black Hyundai i10 and the driver is assisting us with ongoing enquiries at this time.
Investigating officer PC Chris Weatherley, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I would particularly like to appeal to the driver of a white van that was behind the Hyundai to please come forward as they may have witnessed the collision.
