Hello Resident,
Local Earley NHPT have received a recent report regarding householders being approached at the front door, from persons wanting to help them with their gardening needs, now that Spring has sprung. Whilst the interaction was friendly and lawful, we are concerned that the cost of work far exceeded the work being considered.
Please use this as a reminder to be cautious when accepting anything at the door - be it a product or a service - and don't give in to the pressure that these conversations often place you under and making a rushed decision.
Any reputable person/company will appreciate that decisions that involve a cost, often require discussions with family members or time to consider, and will leave a calling card/leaflet.
Our advice in any doubt, is to reach out to Trading Standards to check the reputation.
