On Wednesday 26th March 2025, we received a report of a male assaulting another male with a baseball bat on the fields near Ruscote Arcade, Banbury. Yesterday, officers from the Banbury Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a 42 year old male from Banbury on suspicion of the following offences:

- Assault with injury.

- Possession of an offensive weapon.

- Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

The suspect has now been released on bail but our enquiries are still ongoing. We would particularly like to hear from anyone who lives in the area of the fields near Ruscote Arcade, Banbury, and who may have seen anything of note, or captured it on their domestic CCTV.
