E Scooter

Officers from the Rural Neighbourhood team have seized an E Scooter on March 22nd 2025 from the Newport Pagnell area.

Under Section 34 of the Road Traffic Act, driving mechanically propelled vehicles on common land, private land, or roads designated as footpaths, bridleways, or byways is illegal without proper authority.

Private E-scooters can only be legally used on private land (e.g., a back garden) with the owner’s permission. Riding on public footpaths, bridleways, byways, or other public areas is prohibited. The term "highway" includes all public paths and covers from building line to building line.
