Witness request


Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault on the B4001, Oxford.

At around 1.45pm yesterday (19/3), the victim, a woman in her fifties, parked her vehicle - a grey Peugeot Allure – on the roadside of the B4001, just past the junction with Hollborn Hill.

She was approached by two men who parked their van behind her and assaulted her.

The victim sustained minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

The van is described as white with a brown bulldog sticker on a blue background on the left hand side, on the sliding door.

Officers are revisiting the scene this afternoon and will be carrying out further enquiries.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Richard Allmond, said: “I understand that this may cause concern but we will be in the area today to carry out enquiries.

“Anyone with questions or concerns can speak to a uniformed officer in the area.

 “We are appealing for any witnesses who may have driven down this road between 1pm and 3pm yesterday and may have seen anything.

 “If you saw any vehicles parked in this area or have any dash cam footage of the incident, please get in contact by calling 101 or via our website, quoting crime reference number 43250134249.

“We are also appealing to a specific witness, who was also driving a white van, and stopped to help the victim to please get in touch.
