Hello Resident, We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Tilehurst. Around 2.45pm on Friday (14/3) in the recreational ground near Blagrave nursery, a man has assaulted a woman by punching her in the back of the head and shouting in her face. The victim, a woman in her twenties, was with a family member and their children when the assault took place. Following the assault, the victim attended hospital for treatment after sustaining a concussion and bruising. The offender is described as a black man, around 5ft 9 ins tall, with a muscular build. He was wearing a brown/burgundy jacket, black trousers and a beanie hat. He had a child with him and a pushchair. Following the assault, he left on foot. Investigating officer PC Matthew Newbrook, said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have seen this assault to please come forward to talk to us. “I am especially interested to hear from people who were in the park at this time. “If you have any information that could assist the investigation, please contact us. “You can call 101 or make an online report, quoting 43250125503.” | ||||
