Paddington Bear statue recovered and arrests made after theft and criminal damage

We are delighted to share that we have recovered the stolen Newbury Paddington Bear statue and made two arrests.

Anyone with information about the theft and criminal damage in Northbrook Street at around 2am today should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting 43250102626.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our investigation so far and shared their memories of the Paddington statue with us. We will support its restoration as best we can.

For the meantime, Paddington is heading to Newbury police station for a much-needed marmalade sandwich.
