residential crime

From PCSO Moulding,

Reported to us was a car stolen from a property in Taynton, near Burford.

We are still experiencing theft of vehicles from all over the county, but we are advising that security around vehicles is checked.

1, Keep your keys in a faraday box,or suitable container that is not at the front of the house, somewhere in the middle both out of sight and protected from electronic scanners.

2,Look to invest in either a steering wheel lock, handbrake lock, or foot pedal lock this is basic security but time consuming to thieves and is not affected by electronic scanners.

3,Consider a light near too the vehicle, activated when person/s enter your property.

4, As a side note, high powered vehicles, old style land rovers and commercial vehicles are most at risk

Thank you
