Dear resident,

Op Acre was a three day rural crime operation in January working in conjunction with the Rural Crime Task Force and the local community. 

We focused on the Wing, Waddesdon and Buckingham/Winslow areas.

On each we gave farmers Thames Valley Police radios so they could communicate if they saw anything suspicious. We were very visible with the deployment of 18 officers .

 The highlights:

 • Officers attended a report of a burglary in progress on a farm in the Calvert area. Youths were breaking into a development and were seen on CCTV. Three youths known for ASB and similar incidents were located within Calvert and will be dealt with in due course.

 • Numerous farm visits and engagements were  completed.

 • A number of vehicles were recovered, used in crime and no insurance

. • Stolen tools recovered.

 • Offensive weapon and drugs recovered.

 Rural crime is a strategic priority for the Force.
