Thames Valley Police have received a report this week of a female alleging to be employed by an electric company, whilst knocking on someone's front door she said they were entitled to a payment of £170 due to them having electrical cables running through their property, no company name could be seen and no ID was shown.
If you are approached by anyone claiming to work for a company, please ensure you see ID, you are able to contact the company they allege to work for and confirm they are who they say, do not provide any personal details to anyone without first confirming who they are.
If you have any concerns about any suspicious behaviour, this can be reported to Thames Valley Police via 101, online Home | Thames Valley Police or via your area website Your area | Thames Valley Police
