Unfortunately, we have seen an increase of reports of anti-social behaviour across Abingdon over the last few weeks. There have been incidents of residents having their doors banged on and kicked, and those involved then running away. On the evening of Sunday 12th January, two residents had damage caused to their windows at the front of their properties. These types of incidents have a negative impact on those living in the area, and are frightening and upsetting. Repeated, targeted anti-social behaviour can amount to harassment. The Neighbourhood Team are working with the schools and Vale of White Horse CCTV operators to identify those responsible. We have also increased our patrols in the area. Additionally, there has been an increase in graffiti and criminal damage in the town centre. Enquiries have been carried out and someone has been identified in relation to these incidents. Please continue to report incidents of anti-social behaviour by calling 101, 999 (in an emergency) or via our online web form, so we can continue to target our patrols. |
