Windsor Neighbourhood team updates

Good afternoon,

Your local Neighbourhood teams have been very busy over the past couple of weeks;

Windsor Central have attended schools providing PC Ben inputs to young individuals, held have your say stands in town, crime prevention advice surgeries at the local library and responded to reports of shoplifting in the town centre.

The team have been liaising with residents in Bridge water terrace re taxi's and uber's parking there during NTE hours and wanted to be able to speak with those waiting there however, response teams were very busy with emergency calls last weekend and the Neighbourhood Officers assisted with emergency issues.

An adult female had drugs seized off them for smoking drugs in a public place and issued a out of court disposal, persons were arrested for shoplifting, charged and bailed to court so the Neighbourhood officers have been very busy completing case files for these incidents and gathering the evidence.

Patrols of vansittart skate park have been completed, a adult male was stop searched and drugs were seized from them which resulted in an out of court disposal.

Windsor West;

The team have completed foot patrols around local schools and providing warning letters to encourage people to be more considerate of blocking private driveways and for the children's safety. This is a local resident priority which the team work with the schools regarding.

The team have provided warning letters to those using e-scooters, they will then be seized.

A member of the team witnessed a shoplifter commit a theft at shell garage this week, response and Neighbourhood located the individual who was arrested, charged and bailed to Court.

Windsor East;

The team have been visiting the local businesses in order to get them to sign up to DISC in order for them to report crime, retail theft is a Neighbourhood priority, set by the force and all teams work hard on this matter.

Patrols of Horton due to ASB in the area, PCSO's are going to go and liaise with the parents due to the distress this has caused to a resident.

Reports of youths causing ASB in front gardens has been reported, the team have completed patrols, no persons have been identified as yet, so if they are seen, please continue to report.

Please check ‘YOUR AREA’ and see where to find your team.

We are currently holding have your say stands for residents to inform us what they want their local teams to work on this year.
