Please use this message as a reminder to never leave anything in your vehicle when unattended ! - Offenders are usually opportunistic and will often try vehicle door handles along a whole road looking for insecure vehicles. They are on the lookout for items such as cash/ loose change, wallets, purses, tools, clothing, electrical goods such as phones and laptops etc.
If the offenders see an item they want through a locked vehicle, they will use a range of methods to gain entry including smashing the window or punching the lock through ! Leaving your vehicle unlocked could also invalidate your insurance so please make sure you lock up and check you haven't left anything inside before walking away.
If you witness anyone interfering or breaking into vehicles please call police at the time via 999 with as many details as possible. If you notice a crime has occurred to your vehicle after the offence please report to TVP online or via 101.
