In the early hours of the 17th of December an address on Jubilee Lane, Milton Under Wychwood was burgled. It's believed that the thieves wanted the car on the drive way.

We are experiencing a high number of vehicle thefts at the moment where thieves are breaking into homes specifically for your car keys.

Please don't make it easy for burglars, don't leave your keys in view, in a fruit bowl, console table or on a hook by the front/back door.

Consider additional security measures for your home and your vehicles.

A Faraday box to keep your keys in and keep it hidden

CCTV that streams straight to you phone.

 Close and lock back and side gates

A safe to store your jewellery.

Leave a light on overnight if you are not home or consider light timers which turn on/off different lights in your home.

If you are going away, find a way to make the property look lived in. Ask a friend or neighbour to regularly go in and out of your house.

Ensure doors and windows are locked. Consider additional window locks.

A burglar alarm. On 2 cases, burglars were scared off when the alarms activated when they were trying to break in.
