Windsor Neighbourhood team update


Good afternoon,

 

Windsor Central team have been very busy the past couple of weeks. 

The team attended Court for a closure order at a property on James Street which was successful. Someone was arrested today by PC Fox for breaching the order at this address. The Windsor team will take positive action in relation to breaches at properties at address so please do continue to report ASB and breaches to Police and housing if you are aware of a closure order at a property near you. 

The team have also arrested and charged individuals for shoplifting in the town centre, commenced an investigation in to ASB driving on motorbikes after one hit a member of the public and a Police Officer. 

The team attended the local college to engage with the young persons that attend here to build trust and confidence with the Police and what issues are affecting them. 

A young male was interviewed by PC Wright and given a community resolution regarding his anti social behaviour at the winter on ice where he is now prevented from attending these events. 

PCSO Bullock and PCSO Davidson held  a meeting for bridge water terrace residents to attend regarding issues related to night time economy. 

PC Rose and PC Hammond completed a environmental visual audit with local councillors around bridge water terrace and goswell hill and to review the taxi issues in this area. This is still on going with Sgt Day liaising with RBWM and separate communications will be sent to those residents. 

Patrols were completed of Vansittart skate park with Police engaging with the young persons and stop searches were completed and certain items seized. Patrols were also completed around the Alma Road area in relation to ASB and the coach car park, a stop search was completed and the relevant outcome for someone in possession of cannabis. 

 

Windsor West -dedworth/clewer; 

PCSO's have held have your say stands in the following areas; tesco, clewer memorial ground, sawyers close, and osgood Park. Thank you to those of you that engaged with the PCSO's and reported issues which we can then follow up on. 

Positive action has been taken for e-scooter riders and warning letters provided- this then gives the Police the power to seize it on the next time it is stopped. 

The Officers arrested someone for Public order offences and have also given crime prevention advice at the Willows. 

 

Windsor East- Datchet, horton and wraysbury; 

The team have been engaging with local businesses to sign up to a free and new service for them to report crime and liaise with other businesses. Shoplifting and retail crime is a force Neighbourhood priority and this service is designed to identify repeat offenders which enables the Police to progress investigation and provide outcomes for businesses. 

crime prevention surgeries at Old Windsor Hub, Bridge Café, Datchet and Wraysbury Hub as well as have your say stands at Tesco express and Co-op. 

 

A lot of officers Policed the carols on the hill last Friday as well as regular Guard duties.
