Local Police successfully target County Drugs Lines criminals.

Last week, Bracknell and Wokingham Neighbourhood Police teams organised and conducted joint operations with colleagues from their Problem Solving Team and several other departments to target County Drugs Line (CDL) activity.

CDLs are often operated by criminals from  outside of the force area, who target, coerce and exploit  local vulnerable individuals to act as their dealers.

Because of the harm they cause CDLs are a key priority and are constantly targeted by your local police, but with the benefit of specialist resources this specific week of intense action saw your local Neighbourhood Officers achieve the following results;

13 Arrests arrested

4 individuals have already been charged, and files have been submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) for multiple other offences.

8 Targeted Stop and searches

7 weapons seized

Approximately £100,000.00 worth of class A and B drugs seized

Approximately £6,500.00 cash seized

18 mobile phones connected with drug dealers seized and await forensic examination.

As well as this enforcement the neighbourhood team also conducted multiple education events, including a CDL Awareness stand in the town centre,  and a talk to students at a local college, visits to vulnerable individuals and patrols with passive drugs search dogs in a number of pubs and bars.

If you have concerns about someone being exploited, information about drug dealing or related activity, and it is not an emergency, please notify the police via 101 or the online portal on the force website, or alternatively you can report anonymously and free of charge to the charity “Crimestoppers”  by phone on 0800 555 111 or online via crimestoppers-uk.org , your information could be vital in safeguarding someone or preventing crime.
