Dear Resident, Today we joined partner agencies to launch Safer Langley, a collaborative initiative aimed at creating a safer, more resilient Langley by removing the harmful influence of organised crime. The initiative will target organised crime groups (OCGs), reclaim spaces for the community, and work with residents to build lasting protection against criminal influence. Our approach consists of three phases: Targeted Disruption: Coordinated action to dismantle OCGs, arrest offenders, and eliminate criminal networks, business interests and influence in the community. Securing the Community: Protecting reclaimed areas from further OCG activity to ensure they remain safe. Building Resilience: Collaborating with residents and partners to tackle vulnerabilities, reduce hotspots of harm and address the root causes of crime, making Langley more resistant to future threats. Over the coming months, you can expect to see visible efforts from all partners across crime, anti-social behaviour, health, youth opportunities, business development and employability. There will also be opportunities for community involvement to make a real difference. For more information on partner involvement and how you can get involved via: www.slough.gov.uk/saferlangley. If you witness crime or suspicious activity, please report it via the Thames Valley Police website at www.thamesvalley.police.uk or call 101. Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 or on their website. | ||||
