You will likely have seen a large funeral service that took place today in Amersham.

We are aware that this caused some traffic disruption and additional visitors to the town but we have been working with our partners and the event organisers to ensure that this was kept to a minimum.

Whilst it is uncommon that police and the council support a funeral service, the potential impact on local residents and businesses from additional visitors meant that we put some security and traffic management measures in place.
