Our Neighbourhood Policing Team in Maidenhead, along with our partners from RBWM, have been extra busy today tackling anti-social behaviour, drugs, and shoplifting. Our team visited Kidwells Park and Grenfell Park to carry out an Environmental Visual Assessment, checking the area for weapons and drug paraphernalia, and surveying the parks to improve public safety. This involved getting our hands dirty with metal detectors to reveal any hidden dangers. As we work to improve our public spaces, our team will re-attend these areas at various times of the day to get a feel for the area and make improvements. Meanwhile, the Maidenhead South team visited the Town Centre, checking on local businesses and engaging with members of the public. A shoplifting investigation has progressed at a persistently targeted shop, and an e-scooter was seized from a man to protect shoppers following a stop and search for offensive weapons. Alcohol was also confiscated from two children who were safeguarded, and loud music was prevented from being played next to a religious site. The foot patrol extended in Maidenhead South, where one man was stopped and searched for drugs. We also spoke with another member of the public who reported an incident that had previously gone unreported. | ||||
