Wokingham North NHPT update

Dear Resident

🚨🚨 Here's your roundup of highlights from the week from your local Wokingham North NHPT, covering Earley and Lower Earley, Winnersh, Woodley and Twyford (and its surrounding areas). Along with our more regular duties, officers from Wokingham North NHPT;

πŸ’‚β€β™‚οΈ PC D'Amaro and PCSO Brown attended Windsor Guard for changing of the guard duties…

πŸ†˜οΈ ...On their way back from Guard duties, they came across a member of public experiencing a medical episode at the roadside. Taking lead of the situation, members of passing public were instructed to assist as first aid and welfare checks were completed. Thank you to all who helped while we waited for the ambulance to arrive and the individual receive the attention needed.

🐦 PCSO Brown rescued a bird from oncoming traffic on Rushey Way.  Safely perched in a tree for shelter, height and out of harm's way.

πŸͺ– Wokingham North NHPT took part in wreath laying ceremonies across the area as we remember those who gave us our tomorrow, whilst other officers were out and about to ensure that other Remembrance Day services were carried out without incident.

πŸŽ† Following the festivities of Halloween and Bonfire Night, PCSO Elson, crewed with PCSO Leightley and Emmett, was able to identify several of our most vulnerable people in the community. After attending for checks on their welfare the relevant safeguarding measures have been arranged to reduce the risk of further threat and harm, by liaising with other authorities to provide ongoing assistance.

🦫 PCs Young and Bogdanova, crewed with PCSOs Brown and Emmett held a talk on all things Police with the Beavers group in Charvil, at Charvil Pavilion.

🚫 Monday 11th saw the start of a weeklong operation named OP SCEPTRE. This is a concentrated focus on removing knife-crime and its consequences from our society. TVP officers from all over the Force are working towards this common goal each conducting their own actions within their areas.  Headed by PC Smith of the Wokingham South NHPT, Wokingham North NHPT began the week of operations carrying out knife sweeps in local parks and woodland.  Stay tuned for further updates of actions and progress as the week moves on.

πŸ‘‹ Wokingham North NHPT are growing, as we say a massive welcome to the team to PC Simpson-Holland and PC Saunders, as your additional officers for Earley and for Winnersh, bringing a wealth of extra experience to the team.
