This morning, local neighbourhood officers have conducted a park tidy in the area of Oldbrook Green and surrounding areas as part of Operation Sceptre. We have been looking specifically for discarded weapons and as a result two large machetes have been recovered. We have seized these and enquiries are ongoing as to whether they link to any current criminal investigations. Please continue to report suspicious activity to us so that we can respond accordingly. Sceptre week will continue to see a large focus on knife related crimes.
