Awareness on the increase of car related thefts in the Newport Pagnell area !

Dear Residents,

We are reaching out with an important safety alert for vehicle owners in the Newport Pagnell area. Over the past few weeks, there has been a significant increase in the targeting and theft of Toyota RAV-4's and similar vehicles in our community. We urge all residents, especially those who own or know Toyota RAV-4 owners, to take extra precautions.

Safety Tips for Vehicle Owners:

Consider Additional Security Devices: Using steering wheel locks or additional alarm systems may deter potential thieves. You can also find trackers for vehicles / car keys to help ensure your vehicles location can be accessed at all times .

Parking Precautions: If possible, park in well-lit, populated areas or garages. Avoid leaving valuables in plain sight. Look into having some form of CCTV looking over your vehicle as an added deterrence.

Keyless Entry Awareness: Be cautious if your vehicle uses keyless entry systems. Store your key fob in a signal-blocking pouch (Faraday pouch) when not in use to prevent relay attacks.

Stay Vigilant: Report any suspicious activity around vehicles or unusual behaviour in the area immediately to local authorities.
