We have received increased reports of vans being targeted in ‘Hotel Car Parks’, in Denham and Gerrard's Cross most recently. 

If you own or drive a van for your work, please ensure you try to avoid leaving expensive work tools in them overnight to stop thieves from stealing them. 

If it is not possible to remove the items:
- Consider parking in a way that blocks/restricts entry to rear/side doors (against a wall, back to back with another van etc).
- Where possible, park in a well lit area and/or close to CCTV cameras. 
- Register your tools with a recording website such as immobilise - The National Property Register, for Phones, Gadgets, Bicycles & More...
- Engrave tools with name or postcode - or permanently mark them.
👮‍♂️ Offences typically occur in hours of darkness - Increased patrols are being conducted to catch those responsible.
