Witness appeal following theft from a motor vehicle - Tamar Way

Hello all,

We are appealing for witnesses following a report of theft from a motor vehicle in Tamar Way.  The incident occurred at around 06:15 (early morning) on Saturday 26th October in Tamar Way, junction with Acorn Close.

A male on a bicycle was in the area trying a number of different car door handles attempting to access the vehicles.  He managed to gain access to one vehicle that we are aware of but luckily nothing of value was stolen.

Please check your CCTV cameras and if you have any footage or any information in relation to this then reply to this message so I can get in touch with you directly.

As a reminder, please make sure your cars are always locked and secure and that you never leave valuables in your vehicle.  The Slough Neighbourhood team will be in the area tonight (29th October) carrying out checks to see if people's vehicles are locked.  If we do find any unlocked vehicles, or any with valuables on show, we will do our best to make contact with you and let you know so that you can lock your vehicle.  We run this exercise regularly in lots of different areas to try and prevent thefts from vehicles.

Feel free to come and speak with us if you see us in the area tonight, we will be happy to chat to you.  If you have anything to report in the meantime, please call 101 or submit an online form via our website.  Always call 999 in an emergency.

Many thanks,
