Wokingham North and South neighbourhood team (NHPT) took part in national Safer Business Action Week. During this week we have: Attended local businesses in Earley with the local anti-social behaviour officer from the council to speak with local business and find out from them what issues they are facing and how we can work together to fix these issues. Officers alongside the chair of the Wokingham shop watch scheme visited 17 shops, giving advice around reporting and dealing with shop lifting, provided a presence deterring shoplifting, and gathered intelligence.Gathered important details from shops and businesses to allow us to collect evidence promptly and effectively. Signed multiple stores up to DISC which allows shops to share information with each other and report crime directly to Thames Valley Police. Visited and liaised with security officers from Winnersh Triangle Business Park and Thames Valley Business Park to discuss how we can work together to keep the businesses in these areas safe.Increase high visibility patrols around shops. #SaBAWeekTVP #SaBA #CrimePrevention |
